Book Report

I just finished the book "The Outsiders" for a school book report I need to know the meaning behind the title. Has anyone read it, and know? Thanks

Well its been a while but the title outsiders I believe comes from the fact that the group of boys the story is about are "outside" the accepted or popular kids. They come from broken homes, etc. They are sort of like the gangs of this day and age.

By the way can you believe I read that in school and I am 45. You may want to rent the movie it makes it more interesting.

Right, they are "outsiders" as in, not the normal, stereotypical kids with an intact nuclear family and ideal homelife.

I read this book 6 years ago and it all went over my head! I still have the video of Chapter 6, which we acted out for a project. It's hilarious!

Haha.... you shouldn't have asked. I am a HUGE Outsiders fan.
