WOW - is she beautiful or what!

Margarita just came in with two 'sisters', Tia and Maria. She was a barn cat who had a hard time fending for herself, and settled down in her foster home.

    This face just amazed me!

She's at our local Humane Society...there are a few ahead of her, and I just sent out an email to 40 of my closest friends (LOL) to encourage adoption.

I am in a 1000 sq ft condo, and have two 14 pounders already...though I would love Flica or Jellybean (www.cochranehumane.ca click on Cats)

When they say a few ahead of her...what does that mean?I'm just curious.
I thought a person chooses the cat they want,Is it different there or do you mean advertising for that particuar cat to advertise in order.Or does it mean to check their blood.
Sounds like their in good hands until adoption

What a beauty she is. She and my Zoyie are the spitting image of one another. Hope she finds a good home and brings as much joy to someone life as Zoyie has brought to mine.

Margarita is definately a beauty, as are her two buddies she came in with. I check the Cochrane Humane Society website regularly. I've been wanting a cat for a while but hubby always said no. Now that he's gone maybe it's time. Although I think Sasha needs more time to be in a calm household before I bring in a cat. I'm not sure she'd do ok with a cat either. But I have been watching Avril, Scooter, Lilo, Dream and Jazz. Jazz actually cracks me up that it says he likes to have showers and be blow dried!!

What I mean by "ahead of her" is there are cats that have been there a LONG time...usually the adoption rate is good, but with January being long and cold, and Feb SHORT and cold...they seem to have a lot in line.

Gayle, maybe you should adopt Jellybean. At her weight, you could have 2 cats for the price of one!

I understand now.Thanks.I always feel so bad for the ones that are there for too long.It really depressess them to a point of no return sometimes.

She is beautiful, and I'm sure she'll be snatched up right away, when she's out for adoption.

She's a beauty alright. She looks like my Specs and Pidge whom I suspect are part Maine Coon.

    Blessings,

Wow! She's a beauty! If I lived in Canada, Maria, Alia and Cara would be mine! I love torties and tuxies! Those two are soooo gorgeous! Maria's markings are just stunning! Hope someone adopts them all soon.

There are so many black cats and orange cats available there. We've got that here a lot too. We even had a "Black Cat Adoption Day" last year to feature just out black guys since there were so many of them. We had an FIV+ day too, although the turn out was poor because it was SuperBowl Sunday last year. Sigh... football.
