    Teeth Clicking

My hampster clicks his teeth. Is this because he's happy sad
confused or scared? Is he sick is this bad, or good.

I'sm not sure about that, can't remember any of my hamsters clicking their teeth. Maybe you should take him to a vets for a dental check up.

I've never heard my hamsterdo that either. I agree with Heather, maybe a trip to an exotic animal specialist vet is called for....

I don't know if a vet trip would help. He's been doing it ever since I got him last month. It might just be a special ''Gus'' behavior. I hope.

I would say take him or atleast call the vet to see what can or should be done. I have never heard of a hampster doing that.

    I found this website:
    http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/P...languagey.html
Is you hamster also rubbing his sides on objects in his cage? The website says that this would mean that the hamster is trying to say: I feel threatened and am spreading my scent. Do you think this is what he could be trying to do?

Yes, but he seems to do it only when I'm holding him. I am starting to think that it's because he's happy. Is this true?
