Puddy's gotta go back to the vet NOW!

I came home and she was lying down in the litterbox and when she saw me she jumped out and cried. She hadn't peed all day and she tried 3 different litterboxes but didn't pee. And she's having problems w/bowel movements again. It was outside the litterbox, all over the place but like mud, not diarrhea. Dr. Lee called w/her biopsy results but he didn't leave a message and he would've if the results were good. So I'm taking her in. He won't be in til tomorrow and only Dr. Lash is in but I have to take her. I'll keep you posted. Please pray.

    Blessings,
    Mary

    Puddy's back in the hospital

I just got home. She had to stay. Dr. Lee came right in when they called him. He said she does NOT have any more cancer, so that's the good news. The biopsies came back negative. And he feels that the reason she's having trouble w/her bowel movements is that during surgery he squeezed out feces that were in her intestine that he were in his words "hard as rocks". He feels that it's just more feces that she's passing and that's what's causing her discomfort. But we don't know why she isn't peeing. So they shaved her hindquarters and started fluids again cuz she was a little dehydrated. He's going to do BUN and creatinine tests tonight and, if all is well, I MAY be able to take her home tomorrow. But she was so stressed tonight that he said he couldn't even take blood from her til she calmed down because he said the stress could kill her. God.

I felt so bad leaving her again. She was turned upside down in the carrier and putting her paw through the holes as if she was begging me not to take her back to the hospital. And I didn't get to say goodbye to her cuz they started her on fluids right away and they didn't want to get her any more stressed than she already is.

So tomorrow they'll call me w/the test results and I'll post as soon as I know something. Thanx again for your support, friends. We definitely count you all as family.

    Blessings,
    Mary

    POOR Puddy!

GREAT news that the biopsies were negative...and I hope this other trouble gets straightened out soon...hopefully just a simple blockage, or less pee because of the body adjusting to one kidney?

Hugs to you and your baby!

    Puddy update

Just thought I'd let you all know that my curmudgeon is back. She's getting subQ's every other day, she's totally off pain meds and the appetite stimulant and only has 3 more days to go on the antibiotic. This cat is absolutely amazing! She plays, she eats, she uses the litterbox w/no problem and boy, does she ever love her mom! She snuggles on my lap now, something she would NEVER do before. It's like she's a kitten again. She's still snarls when I have to give her treatments and meds but I'd be worried if she didn't. I'm so happy that I have my Puddy back. Thanx to everyone who prayed for her and me.

    Blessings,
    Mary

OH, I am so happy for you and Puddy!! That is such great news! Now I hope my Taz can be as strong as Puddy has been, although Puddy has been through a lot more than my kitty.
And I was also in tears at your first post about Sebastian. At least now he is all better and playing at the Bridge.

    WOO HOO for Puddy!!

Yes, my thoughts go to Sebastian often, sweet guy. But now he's breathing easily and is in no more pain and he isn't fearful of anything. I feel for his mom but it's been over a week now, so I'm sure her pain has eased somewhat. Sweet of everyone at PT to ask about him. What a circle of friends we have, eh?

    Blessings,
    Mary
P.S. I'm sure Taz will come along; you're very conscientious re his health care. And it's amazing what a lot of love and money will do.
