    My Meeting with the "PEAS"

What a beautiful home these two have been adopted into and such lovely people also. It has really done my heart good to see them adjusting so well in such a short time.

I saw Sweetpea first as she was on the main floor where we were. She was sitting on a chair under the dining room table. I bent down and started to talk to her and she got up and climbed up on my chest. Just like she use to do when I was on the computer. Needless to say that LES kicked in, as I didn't realize how much I missed her. The people are so amazed with her. They said that she is such an adorable, sweet, loving, sociable little girl and just love her to death.
Unfortunately they had to bring her to the vet yesterday as she had injured one of her nails and it was lifted up and bleeding a bit. They, nor the vet, couldn't get over how well she handled having her nail looked after. They even put an e-collar on her as they didn't know how she would react. She didn't hiss, growl or try to scratch or bite them at all. She just took it all in stride. Gosh, she is such a sweetheart. They had to cut the whole nail off and they said that she should heal up nicely. Carol had to change the litter to a dry newspaper litter that look like pellets, so Sweetpea doesn't get any dust in the wound. She goes back on Friday to have it checked out along with PeaPod when he gets his booster shot.

Now for PeaPod. Their daughter Elena, went downstairs to get him where he was sleeping. She brought him up to me and I just reached out for the little fluff bums. Poor little guy was sooooo tired, he just fell back to sleep in my arms. Still just as adorable as ever. Well, it has only been 5 days, so can't really see any change in either of them.

All in all, it was a pleasant visit and they will definitely keep me updated and send me pictures for all to enjoy.

Okay, on with the pictures in the next post.

They stay mainly in the basement for now until they are more acquainted with the dog on their own. They are allowed upstairs when the family is home. The basement has a family room and laundry room.

Here is a picture of a little school house that PeaPod just enjoys playing in.
    It's so cute.

Here is adorable, fluffy bums, PeaPod. They haven't decided on a new name yet. He came back downstairs with us and went right back to one of his beds.

    Such a sleepy baby.

This apparently is Sweetpea's favorite spot. Sitting on the chair looking out at the birdies and squirrels on the feeders.
I love this picture of her.

Here I caught her being a little nawtee, biting on some dry flowers.

And she loves to watch the water in the sink.

    This is their dog Kylie.

Well, that's all for now folks.

I loved seeing Sweetpea's "floofy" tail as she watched the water!

What a wonderful place for them - SP looking contentedly out the window with the sun on her face, and sleepy little Fluffy Bums (I'd just die if THAT was his new name!)

THANK YOU for these....do you feel a little better having seen them again?

Yes Catty 1, I do feel better. Seeing what a beautiful home they are in, how content they both are and how loving the people are with them, was very heartwarming to me. I'm glad that I was picky on who was to adopt these two darlings.

I'm so glad that you got to see the Peas, and to hear how well they are adjusting. I love PeaPod's little schoolhouse, and that photo of Sweet Pea watching the water is great.

That is so heartwarming to see them in a nice clean home that is obviously well looked after. I'm sure they'll be very well cared for and will live such happy content lives. They both deserve it so much. Thanks for posting the photos it's great to know they're happy.

What a happy ending. The "Peas" look like they're enjoying their new furrever home and I'm sure it gives you a warm feeling to know that they are safe and loved.

The little schoolhouse is so cute! I'll betcha Peapod is the teacher's pet!

SweetPea certainly has blossomed into a lovely girl...thanks to you. I cringe to think what might have become of her had you not made her go "poof".
Loving meowmie to Archy & Binky (RIP my sweet boy 10/13/10)

How did you do it? First, let them go and second find such a perfectly wonderful home? You did WONDERFUL!!! I'm so happy to read this thread.
