    I'm back

I haven't been posting too much this past month here at Pet Talk. Most of the times I did post, it was in Cat General about my foster kitties. I've been having a really hard time keeping up with anything lately. Aside from mothering all my kittens, work has been getting crazy. It is now kitten season and I have to watch people keep coming into work with boxes and boxes and boxes of kittens of all ages. It is so sad. We are FULL at the shelter and can't take most of them. The city shelter puts everything to sleep that is under 8 weeks old as soon as they come in the door. So whenever I see someone carrying a box into work, my eyes just tear up fearing the inevitable.

Also, we had an outbreak of Parvo at the shelter. Its awful. I can't even talk about it too much because its ripping me up inside. I just wanted to remind everyone to hold their babies tight and maybe think about donating a blanket or two to your local shelter. Warm blankets help dying puppies more than you know...

It's nice to see you back, Aly! I wish I could help and take some of these poor kitties. Hope you get lots of blankets coming in!

I know our shelter here is overflowing, too. I'll make sure to do something to help out this week.

It is that time of the year...how I hate it. Aly, I'm sorry about the parvo outbreak, please know my heart breaks right along with yours. I really don't want to think about it though or I'll be a blithering idiot.

    My thoughts are with you.

    Welcome back Aly.
I am sorry to hear about the shelter. It must be hard to deal with all that. Our shelter here takes in animals from about 6 other towns so we are really filled up at., But then again we always are. keep your chin up We are all here for you. *hugs tightly*

You were missed! I am sorry about all the heartache you witness every day at the shelter. In the perfect world that would not be a reality.

I admire your determination and courage to deal with these struggles on behalf of the homeless and unwanted pets. I personally could not deal with that much grief. Your courage and determination are nothing short of hero status in my eyes. May God bless you and give you strength.

    Many hugs to you Aly.

You are so brave and couragous. I could never do the work you do. I'd break down every second.

May your shelter be blessed with many blankets soon.

I'm getting ready for my monthly donations to the shelter.

I honestly don't know how you do it, I know I've said this before, but I could never take on the responsibliity you have. It must be so hard I really commend you on the work you do, I know there has to be someone to do it. It's good to have you back!

I know. My friend just took 23 of her cats because they didn't want them any more! Well then why do they have 100 of them. They are barn cats that live outside and they don't get them fixed or anything so they just keep haveing babies. The shelter put down 12 of them for diseses.
