My meeting with Catty1

On Sunday I had the privilege of meeting Catty1 (Candace). She was in town for a CD release party for her friend. It was held at a restaurant about 25 min. away from where I live....on Commercial Drive for you locals.

First we had a late breakfast and then, while she went to get her Uncle, I walked up and down Commerical Drive. There are alot of really neat shops there....some that take you back to the 60's.

I met Candace and her Uncle at the restaurant where the CD release party was to take place and we grabbed a table by the window. The three of us had a blast and shared many laughs. I learned about sweat and was even proposed to. Don't bother asking questions about that....

Oh yes, and I had a wonderful dish of wild mushroom and rice wrapped in filo pastry. It was to die for.

This is the only picture I have to attach. Well, I have one of Candace and her Uncle but I don't want to post her Uncle's face over the Net without her permission.

So, without further ado, here is Candace and me. (just ignore the ugly mug with the long hair...don't know what was going on with my face

Candace, thank you for the wonderful time and I really hope to see you next time you are in town....or the next time I fly to Calgary.

Isn't it just so much fun when we get to meet another Pet Talk person? Even just one is a treat! And nowadays, wherever one has to travel, there's probably one of "us" somewhere nearby!

It was a FANTASTIC time! Slick...didn't you mean CLEAN sweat??? (I never got to hear about that either...but hey, we gotta hear about the Oxtail Stew!!!!)

Slick had a marriage proposal, somewhat connected to the stew...does that man have your mom's phone #? And see, I didn't post THAT photo!

How fun! Slick, you look great - sounds like you are getting around pretty well these days.

Catty, your Uncle looks like a very sweet man - I think music keeps you young! That's a gorgeous kitty girl.

Slick, you and Catty both look great, and so does Catty's uncle. Looks like you all had a really good time!

It is about time you went out and enjoyed yourself, you really deserve it, after everything you have been through lately.

You know, it is amazing to think about how many of us PT'ers are out there, we could be rubbing shoulders and not even know it!!! I have often thought of that when I go into a larger city!!
