    Sweetie, I'm so glad you have a warm, loving home. Thanks to you for helping to ease the loss of your sisters. I came across a greyhound rescue organization the other day. I hope the dogs I looked at are welcomed into a family as loving as yours. Enjoy your well earned day, Nictor, as our beloved DOTD!!!

    Gentle beauty

    My Mom resided in a personal care home for 2 years. The home's mascot is a retired racing greyhound, Fanny, now 11 years old. Fanny was a joy to Mom and me, and she continues to provide comfort with her gentle acceptance of residents. These dogs are incredible, we sometimes forget that they need comforting also. Love you Nictor, you are a sweetheart!

    Oh gentle Nictor, you know the secret, don't you? That sometimes the quiet moments are the best. I'm glad you're in a good home now sweetheart, and that you'll get to live out your life with a family that loves and treasures you. Lots of hugs and treats today sweet boy.     Nictor, you sound like a sweet, gentle spirit providing exactly what your family needs. And that they get much joy and satisfaction from the pleasure of your company. Sometimes you can say a lot by speaking very little. Please have your family give you a hug for me because you have given such wonderful, tender love.     Nictor, you are such a handsome boy. Your heart is huge, and just because you don't play fetch or do tricks doesn't mean you aren't a handsome tender-hearted dog. You sound like just the perfect dog. Congratulations on being the DOTD, Nictor!

I'm so sorry to hear of the tragic, untimely passing of your sisters, sweetheart. But what a blessing and a comfort you have been to your people dear boy, helping to heal their hearts with your gentle spirit and quiet love. You were truly heaven sent, Nictor.     Your grey hound is very sweet. His eyes are so sweet looking. I've always liked that breed, but I've never had one. I think it's great that you rescued him, so many GH's need rescuing and they make such sweet pets. A friend of mine rescued one a few years ago and he is adorable!

    Nictor, I think you're a lovely dog! To say you don't do tricks is not true; you have discovered the best trick of all is to just be a gentle, easy-going friend who is always there for those who need company. We should ALL have such good friends as you!
