    Good News On Hottie!!!

I am soooooooooooooo relieved! The last week, Hottie has been tripping easily- sometimes even in a walk. He has had 3 surgeries because of this puppyhood accident, and we were ( including the vets) were sooooo worried something was giving out on that growth plate, or the OCD..
Well get this one- he had a skin tag on the outside of his paw we knew was there for a while. ( a skin tag is when a paw gets rubbed on the skin level, and it folds over, making a 'seal" on the wound- but its not a mole- ).. Anyway- I had his nails done ( he is a bit bossy if a vet doesnt do it), and get this one- THEY FOUND a larger skin tag on the inside of the first toe. It would feel like a ingrown toenail so to speak, causing slight pain enough to trip him, then the rest of that leg tries to compensate.
Anyway- tomorrow he gets a local and they are going to take him off. All I have to do now is keep him on a flexi so he cant trip so really hurt himself.
I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO RELIEVED!! I have been soooooooo worried something was giving out..
Thank you all for your prayers on him. I know I have asked for alot with him on this subject. And its odd it was something sooooooo simple. No one was looking within the paws- we were allll looking at either the shoulder, or the left rear leg itsself..

Thats great Michelle, I will still check on some holistic alternatives to his OCD and growth plate problems for you.

Thank you. The vet had suggested upping the glycoflex 3 for him but now I will have to see what he says since we know the cause of this now. I keep the bottom of their feet trimmed to reduce dirt in the house, but mostly so they dont slip. I never saw it. It was high up inside the toe.
He gets the raw diet of course ( calcium phorophus would be the egg and shell, yogurt and cottage cheese and of course the raw bone etc) then glycoflex 3 also has glucosamine and balenced phor and calcium. Those have to even as they are bonding agents with each other. ..

I'm glad your Hottie is doing good. I'm sure he is right about the bootie looking stupid. Just remind him that it will be gone before he knows it.

Right not he just looks at me like " I feel sooooooooo stupid with this thing on".... The skin tag ended up being deep, and its like a tiny crater in his paws on that toe. But I will say- noooooooooooo signs of tripping, so I am hoping this has been the problem for several months!
