    Got in trouble

Okay, so I was standing outside the school building eating breakfast. These two skinny dogs came up to me so I fed them. The principal comes out of the building and I get a long lecture on how I shouldn't feed the dogs because they'll just keep coming back. He then precedes to kick at them and yell at them. Okay what is the point of this? They weren't hurting anybody. They weren't even trying to get into the building. He told me that if I wanted to feed them that i should just take them home (I may add that he said this very rudely) I WOULD take them home if i didn't have 18 dogs already. I don't see why he would be so cruel as to deprive them of a meal that they so obviously needed (and i could live without)

I can't believe he kicked those dogs. I hope he doesn't treat his students like that.

I think Animal Control might be interested in hearing about this.

I wonder how he treats his children and wife? AND pets!

If my principal did that, I would have called Animal Control. I would have left the school property WITH the dogs, and called AC.

I would even call them now. Don't let this $%^hole get away with abusing animals.

Yup - report the incident, date, time, etc. to the School Board, or at least to the Superintendant of Schools. CC a copy to your local paper, and your school paper, if you have one.

He needs to be reported and if you PM me the name of the school system and the name of the school, as a fellow educator I would be willing to email him myself. What an idiot.

I agree, report it if he actually kicked a dog. There is no excuse as to why he had a reason to kick the dog.
Though, I can see where the principal is coming from when he said not to feed the dogs on campus, as they'd keep coming back... school faculty are often worried about stray dogs bringing "diseases" or acting aggressive toward the people who attend to school.
But hey, I would have fed them something, too. =D
