*Bump for Kaige* What happens when you give GSD's freedom

Ever since my hubby started working out of town again I have been leaving the pups have free run of the house while I'm at work. I thought that since they are older now maybe they wouldn't do as much damage as they did when they were younger. (Couches, phones, beds, pillows, blankets, sheets, books... etc)
Well... I'm happy to say that it has latest for a few months... but I think it's come to an end now!
I walked in my house yesterday and this was the first thing I saw:

    Yup, that's broken glass!!
Most of it fell on the outside of the door so no puppies were hurt.

THEN.... I walked into the kitchen and noticed that the living room was Brighter that normal. When I walked around the corner I saw this...:

I know it's hard to see, but that is my living room picture window.
    "What's wrong you ask?"
When I left for work in the morning I had curtains hanging there!!!!!
Yeah, they not only tore the curtains down, they pulled the brackets out of the walls!!!
Here's part of the curtains and half of the rod that fell behind the recliner:

I found the rest of the curtains and the other half of the rod wedged behind the couch.

Oh lookie what's in my bed room... it's one of the pieces of curtain!

Wait a second..... I made my bed before I left for work today!!!

Bud... what are you trying to hide??
    Huh??

    BUD!! What are you hiding??
    Who me??

Alright... it's not that bad, they just dumped their basket of toys on it's side!
But it sure looked like he was hiding something from me!!!

After all was said and done and the damage had been assessed, I attributed the craziness to the fact that my dad had his friend come over today and pick up my Blazer with his tow truck. I know it was all the noise coming from the driveway (that they can't see from the house) that they didn't know what it was.
So I guess they were... um... protecting the house??
Hey... if someone were peeking in my windows thinking about breaking in, and saw those two freaking out tearing things off my walls.... I'm certain they wouldn't ever mess with my house again!!
I'm at work today, and to be on the safe side... they are in their crates today!

I looks like Buddy may have tried to hide the evidence( curtain )

Can you imagine having a video camera hidden somewhere?

So glad no German Sheperds were hurt during this event!!!!

LOL!! That's so funny..... but I'm sorry you had to come into a disasterous house! Maybe they're trying to tell you to call in sick one day and just stay home and play with them! lol

Yes he does look innocent. Sorry that happened! I'm pretty sure all of us have come home to a similar scene at one time or another, but ripping down the curtains! They must be strong!

    You give an inch....

Buddy's face is too cute! I'm sure he couldn't have been invovled!!

I have come home to some intersting things before...hole in the window (storm window, not outside window), Cincy has eaten holesin the carpet, and we have had tears inteh shears. Fingers croassedm they have never compeltely torn down the curtains. Lately, they have all been in the kitchen where there is limited damage they can do.

Oh, how sweet, they were trying to protect the house, they didn't mean to do damage! It does make for a good story especially for those of us that don't have to do the clean up.

To tell you the truth, I think Bud did it! He goes CrAzY when someone is near the house, or in this case, he knew something was happening but couldn't do anything about it!
All is well again at the house, the hubby put up new Super Heavy Duty brackets! Let's hope the new brackets never get put to the test!!
