    Harness and Leash

Here are photos of Edwina last weekend wearing her harness and leash. Even though there is a six foot fence around the yard, we just feel better if she is wearing her leash. That (and the bell) make it easier when it is time to go in the house!

    Sooo adorable!
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)

Really cute. She doesn't mind wearing it?

I trained Eddy to walk on the dog's leash - she doesn't mind either. Practically when we visit the vet.

Edwina is such a cutie. I bet the grass is the first place she goes when you let her out.

Those harnesses look like they would be better for kitties than the collars I have for Tubby and Peanut. Tubby works well with his collar since he's had it for so long so I think I'll keep that for him, but I might consider a harness for Peanut. It might make her feel more secure too.

Where did you purchase the harness?

Might I ask where you purchased the harness and how much it cost you?

    Thanks.

    P. S. Nice photos of Ms. E

    Lovely pics

I never trained Oliver to walk on a leash when he was smaller, so he will just get all paralyzed if I put it on him and refuse to walk

What beautiful pictures and such a pretty model! Did you start using the harness early when Edwina was a wee little kitty? I think if I tried to put one on my two boys now (age 9 and 6) they would totally spazz. She looks like she seems to be enjoying herself fully! I guess all of those outside smells get her mind off the harness. The bell is so cute too! What a gorgeous kitty. I can see why Marius is in love!

  12. Edwina was about a year old when she joined us. We used a small dog halter at first but she could slip out of that in seconds. So she was about three when we introduced her to this halter. She has adjusted and will even sit on the harness by the door when she hankers to go out. I only wish it came in pink -- a far better choice with her coloring!

Yes you wouldn't want someone, noticing the blue color, to accidentally call her Edwin! It could never happen, though, to such a pretty girl as Edwina!

Edwina sure is beautiful. I don't think my cats would like a harness to be put on them.
