I have been following this story and am so glad. I only wish Patsy had been alive to see this all unfold, although her husband said that she was informed, before her death, that they had a good lead on this man. RIP Patsy and Jon Benet.

Such a shock to me, because I hadn't thought about that case in so long. I am glad that they found him, although he is saying that her death was an accident, which I can't quite believe. He sounds like quite a sick person. I'll be interested to see how this all pans out.

Ugh. What a creep!
I read the article immediatly after that one, Buttercup, and it stated that he got a 13 year old girl pregnant, then "assisted in the delivery" at his home. Twin girls. And they both died.
Whether he murdered JonBenet or not, he is a very sick individual.

I dunno, it all seems a little odd, but I guess we'll see more once the facts come out.

My question is, what was he doing with the Thai police anyway - did he go to them to confess to the crime, or did the confession come out after they had already picked him up for doing something illegal in thailand? After reading a couple of the articles linked from the post that Zoey made, especially about his picking up teens and such, i wonder if he wasn't picked up by the Thai police for something similar over there - and just decided that a prison in the US would be better than a prison in Thailand? So, confess to a high profilie crime he didn't commit, to get his 15-mins-of-fame and get extradited to the US.

I dunno... it's all really sad anyway, especially if this guy was picking up teens, and going to be teaching grade 2 level kids

Maybe he truly did love her and didnt want this to go unclosed or forgotten about so he confessed in order to get it in the media again.
