Have you considered acupuncture for your cat's problem(s)?

I have been investigating alternatives for Ms. Miley cat and her constant bowel problems.

Has anyone here ever tried taking "Fluffy" to an acupuncturist? (spelling)

Wait a minute. Who's fluffy?? Oh yea, we've already be there, done that.

I would definitely consider it, depending on the temperment of the cat, age and illness. Max would not tolerate it but I do know lots of laid-back cats that would just lie there and accept it. Expense would not be a problem with me as with any Meowmie, I would do anything to help make my kitty more comfortable.

I think I owe it to Miley to exhaust every avenue for her good health. It breaks my heart to keep changing her diet etc. - giving her new pills - listening to her struggle so in the litter box. So, rather than wait three months for the new food to possibly help out, I think I will look into acupuncture. I will keep you guys informed.

I always used to think accupuncture was a quack, sticking needles in random places to make you feel better? How in the world could that possibly work? I figured it worked because it had a placebo effect, if you believe it then it will work.

One day my friend's cat Jones was having kidney failure, he was rushed to the vet and he wasn't expected to make it. The vet he went to used both traditional and nontraditional practices, after he wasn't responding well to medicine she decided to try accupuncture on him. After two days Jones was looking so much better, the following day he was ready to come home. He's now a very healthy boy and hasn't had any problems since then, and I now believe in accupunture!

I don't know if you've already done this, but have you seen a holistic vet?

Acupuncture seems to work by influencing the body's electric/magnetic fields. Western science hasn't quite figured out how yet, though.
