Thread: Help, please?

    Help, please?

I posted this same message in Dog Behavior and you can reply in the other thread, but since I had no replies in there for a while, I thought I'd post it here, too.

I'm babysitting a dog right now (Diesel) and he drools ALOT. Alaska always licks his lips, is he licking the drool or showing domiance or what? Diesel is always humping Buddy and licking Buddy's penis. It grosses me out. I try to stop him, he'll stop, but as soon as I stop scolding, he does it again. Please help!

We don't have a crate at the moment because my other show dog has it at her house and is using it at the moment. Diesel will be here until this Sunday.

I assume Alaska and buddy are both males and neutered, am I right?

I have tried to find a web site on male canine behavior that comes close to your situation.

Is Diesel neutered? My guess is that he isn't? Call me the sickning Dog Whisperer from H*&&.

    Thank-You for the reply.

I've done some reading on why dogs drool, noting, that one reason is because they are stimulated or excited. . You can fire me at any time , ok?

Is there any way you can seperate Diesel from Alaska and Buddy when he demonstrates this behavior. Without yelling of course? Perhaps another room , providing him something to chew on? He is nervous of course.

I'm sorry you are at your wits end with these dogs!!!

alright, you clicked onto the thread, now, help us figure out how to help Zoomer!!! Diesel is creating some stress for her right now.

    Back to the Diesel problem.

Do you have another room where you can temporarily place diesel when he behaves this way. Providing him somehting to chew on? Maybe even a radio/?

Geez, I wish I could take Diesel for you till Sunday.

That was not a good idea

Since Diesel will be in your home till Sunday, we have to figure out how to seperate him from Alaska and Buddy, ONLY, when he demonstrates this undesirable behavior.

No crate---Okay, we have to work out another solution without taking a crash course on Male Canine Behavior.

I will wait for your reply. Un- Real time sucks.!!!!
