Thanks Tia! Hmm...for that one I first taught him to bring me the can and I slowly put it closer and closer to the cooler until it was in it and the lid open, and eventually got to the point where I could close the lid and he'd get it. He picks up what I want him to do so quickly, so the whole thing took only a couple of minutes for him to get!

Heres another one - don't mind the messy garage At the end my dad tells him "feet up" because we were teaching him to close it by jumping up, but he grabbed the towel instead, lol. I think he was a wee bit confused, but we're still working on it Oh, and Jack's reward for getting it was cleaning out my dad's dinner dish thingy

All of these new tricks are based off of a simple retrieve (take it, hold it & bring it were probably the most useful things I've ever taught Jack!). Being a Grabador ( ) he is more than willing to do those three things so it makes things like opening a fridge door and taking something natural for him *shrugs* I probably would never be able to teach Shadow (for example) these things because she isn't willing to take things that I want her to (I can't even get her to hold things yet!).
