    Mailman Friendly?

obviously this is mostly for dogs but could be for cats too. I can't or haven't imagined any other domestics would chase off a mailman lol.

anyway, I was walking to post office the other day and saw the warning sign, 3,100 Mailmans Bitten Every Year..

so, of course I first thought of you (pet talk) and wondered, how did your dog react when they walk up?

my crayola would love for some handloves from them if he was right outside but most of time he's inside and would careless unless it knocks!

    - multi-choices for more than one dog.

Well, our mailmen drive around, so no dogs can really get to them unless they jump through the window^^.
But UPS is basically like a mailman, and we get packages from UPS quite often.
Frisk & Ethan bark like mad.
Skylar loves everybody. He'll wag his tail and try to lick them to death.

Our mail man drives. But our news paper person walks up to the house. Molli and Sam just bark... although if I let them out to the newspaper person they'd just lick him/her to death.

Zsa-Zsa doesn't go out the front now due to her blindness, but when she did, she would sometimes sit on the front porch and hiss at anyone unfamiliar approaching. She didn't mean any harm, she was playing a game, but she was so convincing! Many a new postman stayed clear of her if he saw her around

Jenny puts her front paws up on the window ( which is about 4ft high, so it makes her look huge and terrifying ) Than barks loudly and growls and shows her teeth- very unlike her, she's a real softie.

My mom doesn't think we should get angry at her because my mom thinks it's a good thing that she wants to protect us. However... it would be nice if the paper boy didn't come at 4:00 am.

Rocky, Jenny, and Ginger are fine with the mail lady. Buster just barks and barks but we have to keep him in because the mail lady is scared of him. Go figure!

My dogs are always friendly but they bark a bit when somebody walks past our house or up our walk. Doesn't matter whether its the mail person or not though.

Autumn barks when she is inside, but goes up and greets our normal mail carrier outside. When we have a sub mail person she doesn't bother with them.

Sassy can care less unless they go near the house. If he drops off a package or something she'll bark and two hours later FINALLY stop. She sits by the window and waits to watch him/her leave. Good guard dog, eh?

my dogs have never met the mailman lol before Misty broke the old front dooreverytime the mail came is was bark bark bark bark for a good 15 minutes every day(the was glass down to the floor) but when we replaced the door that Misty broke, we had it custom made with a window on on the top, so the dogs dont even notice unless the lid happens to be really squeaky, or the mailman is sick and there is a replacement that walks right onto the front porch to drop in the mail(our mailman cuts down the barking by walking up the side, reaching over the rail and dropping in the box, so the dogs dont hear him on the porch and they cant see him through the window)

ahh! why did I say mailmans?? yeah, mail lady, I had two that dressed up like a guy.

wow, I never knew that there were maildrivers.. do they just come up in their little white boxy and all of you have mailbox on sidewalk? now is that why they have no door on right? or not the only reason?

next time I'll add that option!
