About doolittleky (Melissa) and Ying her kitty

Hi everyone. I am here to try an update about Melissa's situation.

She has been sick from what the doctors think is an allergic reaction, and hospitalized for around 5-6 days. Yesterday they finally released her. When she got home, she started having trouble and felt funny. She was taken back to the hospital and admitted again this time to the heart unit. Her heartbeat is irregular. The doctors are not sure why yet. She is under terrible stress and with Ying being bad off, she is just hysterical.

Ying is in a diabetic coma, and she did get to go see him after being released from the hospital yesterday. He did not respond to her, but I think that he is just so weak he can't. He is having seizures and they don't know if he is going to get better, or if he is braindead. So now she is in the hospital and can't go to see him. All the more reason we have to pray for her and him. She really needs prayers right now for her health, and the health of Ying.

I will try and get more updates in the next couple of days, and I will call her again tonight and read to her what her friends here at Pet Talk have said. Thank you for the support and prayers. *HUGS* Katie

Her and Ying are being medical puzzles to their whitecoats...I really hope they find out what is wrong!

And I hope Ying can be stabilized and his real condition assessed...oh, I HOPE he is not brain-dead!

Did you see Ying too? Is that why you feel he is just really weak and not brain damaged? I hope you are right.

Prayers for you and Melissa and Ying - and I know Gary's Pet Angels have great power, as do PT prayers!

Prayers are on their way both for precious Ying, and for Melissa. I have suffered terrible allergic reactions, but this sounds like something more, and I hope the doctors can figure it out.

This is horriable news! I am so sorry for Melissa having to go through all this with her own health and her sweet Ying being so ill too. This is so distressing and she has to be worried to death. Prayers are going up for her and Ying.

Melissa, hang in there girl, you have Garys angels watching over Ying and all our PT prayers for both of you. Rest and get well.....

Melissa got released yesterday for the second time from the hospital and she had to go right to the allergist appointment. They dont know what caused the rash or the heart rate change.

They are going to have her take a stress test Tomorrow (07-07-06). And then a follow up with the cardiologist for the results of the ultrasound. So we will see tomorrow what she finds out.

Now the good news!!

Ying - He is much better and almost back to himself. They think he will pull through ok, and he is not brain damaged. Melissa got to visit with him for a few hours today and she says "he was meowing up a storm".

Hopefully, Melissa will get back on and update whenever she feels more rested. She says thank you for all the prayers and good wishes.

WOOHOO! Melissa and Ying will have a really special bond now, as they recuperate together, after being ill at the same time.

I am SO glad to hear this!
