    Apoplectic

From the front page of our local newspaper..... "Paige's mother,....., objects to free health care for illegal immigrants. Recalling her own financial burden after a pregnancy, ....said, "Here I am making $100-a-month payments and I'm fully insured, and my illegal nanny has her baby totally for free."

Let's parse this statment. She is "fully insured".... I assume that means either she or her husband is offered medical coverage by their employer. Therefore, the family's medical expenses are primarily paid for by the employer, the other individuals covered by that insurance company, and the federal and state governments (employer are given a tax break on $ spent on employee healthcare.)

Can we assume she does not offer healthcare to her illegal nanny? Do you think she pays her illegal nanny minimum wage? overtime? Pays into FICA, Workers' Comp, etc for her illegal nanny?

Instead of being arrested and thrown into jail, this lawbreaking criminal is complaining on the front page of the newspaper.

The "financial burden of $100-a-month payments."

I wonder what she pays her illegal nanny??????

For her- reality slap.(Jail, fines, etc) She should also have to pay the government for the cost of the court proceedings for her nanny and deportation costs.

For her illegal nanny? Not sure what to do as far as her illegal status, (deportation comes to mind first and foremost) but she should get back wages paid by the "employer", plus damages. I'm sure that such a clueless individual (the mother) makes for a wonderful boss.

Is that FOR REAL Edwina??? Does she "really" employ an illegal nanny or was she facetiously making an anology. If she is in fact that clueless, then I suggest she is most definitely part of the problem and less of a solution. She is certainly not quoteworthy and YES, she shouldd be held legally accountable for her public admission.

And YES, YES, YES I couldn't agree with you more that she must be "one Hell of" a boss to expose her private nanny (jeopardising her very future) while complaining about health insurance. She seems like a reall winner all the way around!!!

    Stroke, stroke, stroke.....

I have never had the chance to play coxswain before.

    LOLOL,

Yep, this gal has the temerity to complain about paying her insurance, yet she employs someone getting a freebie?

    Get her address.

    I am fortunate.

I have healthcare insurance for the rest of my life because of my job.

I pay 5 dollars for a doc visit....

Years ago, I cut my hand, had four stitches put in and paid 20 dollars.

This broad should drive her car into a pole and see how much 100 dollars buys her.

Of course, afer the accident she'll want a nose job, boob job and liposuction to let her get over the trauma.

Cut loose the nanny and she can afford the insurance.
Get rid of the gardener, pool boy, pilates and SUV and have her take care care of her spawn......

Did I mention the nails, hair and wardrobe?

Thanks! But I have to pay to read enough of an article to confirm what it is.

Was hoping to look up the address for Richard - it wouldn't be hard!

    Thanks
