    daisy is confused

Alright, this is going to sound funny (it also looks very funny) but has anyone ever had a female dog that liked to hump cats? I have a little 7 pound shih tzu-poodle mix that is constantly humpng my male cat which weighs 23 pounds. People see it and can't believe it. is this a normal thing for a female dog to do, or is Daisy just totally confused

I've heard of female dogs humping...but I haven't heard of a dog humping a cat before. That's funny. I'm sure it is normal though

Your female dog does that probably because she is trying to show your cat that she's the dominent one. Completely normal.

I, too, think it is a display of dominance. I have never heard of a dog "humping" a cat, because I guess I just cannot imagine any cat allowing a dog to mount it. I thought he/she would run or attempt to scratch at the dog before he/she was mounted. But I guess if a cat stayed still long enough Ginger would probably "hump" a cat the same way she does her stuffed lion.

Females usually hump to show dominance. I have seen this a lot, usually with other dogs though. My dog does this on occasion, and she has done it to me.... lol For dog and cat, well I had a male dog who used to do this to my cat. He was really bad with humping everything!!! But the cat was tolerant, they were good friends of course too.
