    Puppy Birthday Party!

A great time was had by all! I think Dixie had the most fun though! She would play with her pups for a while then make her rounds with all the humans getting hugs, pets, and paw rubs! She absolutely loves her paws rubbed. She can litterally sit there for hours if you would let her! Plus she was getting tons of treats and even managed to get TWO FROSTY PAWS. I didn't know someone else gave her one and then I turned around and gave her another. She only got one piece of birthday cake though. A friend brought a Three Dog Bakery cake.

A funny story about the cake..... It was decorated really pretty like a human cake would be. My husband (unaware that it was a dog cake) cut himself a piece and then told me it was the worst cake he had ever eaten!!! Then I told him it was dog food! He just burst out howling when I told him I expected him to bark before night fall and grow Golden fur!

Dusty was in LOVE! One of his sisters had just come out of heat a week ago and I guess he liked her smell. He would not leave her alone all afternoon. Where ever you saw Sammi, you saw Dusty! He was not trying to hump her, he was only sniffing her. Everyone was kidding my baby. Well I guess it was the first time he ever had a sniff of anything that smelled so good! At one point, everyone was showing what their pup had learned over the year and Dusty would not do anything. He could not get his mind anywhere but in his sister's smell. He even passed up a piece of birthday cake and a Frosty Paw! If anyone brings a girl that is coming out of season at his first obedience dog show in June, I am in trouble!

I will post pictures when I download them onto my PC.

    WHAT FUN!!!
Has your husband grown fur yet? I had a cousin who ate what he thought was a chocolate kiss but was, in real life, a chocolate doggie kiss. Strange, he would never take candy from me again.

So glad everyone had a great time!

What a great summary of your party, Dixie!! The only thing better would have been if we could have been there with our puppers to enjoy it too!! Can't wait to see the pictures!!

When you mentioned your husband eating the cake, LOL, it reminded me of a story my uncle told once about watching something exciting on television, and remembering that he hadn't taken his medicine that night. He went to the cabinet, opened the pill bottle, swallowed the pill, without ever taking his eyes off of the television. He later discovered that he had taken the dog's medication instead of his own! LOL! He called the doctor, a family friend, in a panic, and the doctor told him that unless he started being attracted to fire hydrants or an urge to lift his leg, he would probably be ok!

Sounds like fun! I think that it is so great that you keep up with the pups like that! If only every breeder would do that! I can't wait to see the pics! I have yet to find Frosty Paws anywhere around here, although I haven't really looked. I do know that they are not in any of the regular grocery stores. I swear somebody mention they were.

I'm so glad the party turned out so well, and Momma
Dixie had a Great time. Think she loved "showing off"
    her babies ?
The part about hubby eating the 'doggie' cake is very
funny, of course, I probably wouldn't have thought so
if it were me. LOL. Can't wait for the pictures !!!

It sounds like a wonderful party! And Dusty in love for the first time

And the bit about your husband eating the cake made me laugh out loud. It's more common than we think though. I know that someone made himself and his wife a sandwich using what he thought was some pate, only discovering later that it was actually cat food! He said it tasted OK.

Can't wait to see the pics!
