Sorry, no pictures... Mocha "helps" she gets more annoyed than anything else.... "How dare that Loud beast interfere with her sunning time!" .........Bonzo disappears for HOURS if I so much as touch the vacuum.

All 3 of my kitties have very different reactions to the Rainbow cleaner. Trixie's is the most normal, I think. She hides under the bed until I get to that room, then zips out. Bo absolutely LOVES to be "Rainbowed" - he comes running and rolls around, purring loudly while I vacuum his tummy, tail, head, back - ALL OVER - with the hose and soft brush! Then he follows me room to room, begging for another suction session. Jazz has the opposite extreme reaction. She HATES the vacuum and seems to be traumatized by it, disappearing for several hours. Not even treats can draw her out of her hding place. I've resorted to putting her in the car before I even get the Rainbow out. She apparently can't hear it there and spends the vacuuming time in ignorant bliss, brought back into the house only after the machine is safely tucked back into the closet. She has no idea of her narrow escape from the noisy monster. Oh, the extremes we go to to accomodate our loved ones!

These pics are from the time when Casper and Kitty were afraid of the hoover... They are not so much anymore, once Casper was even sitting on top of the hoover while I was hoovering

Mine all hide under the bed too. It's the only time they can lay beside each other and get along.

Same here - I couldn't get a picture if I tried - After telling the Hoover "what for" by hissing at it loudly and sending a strong glare of disapproval my way, Ritzy does a lengthy disappearing act, usually stuffed under a chair in the living room.

She won't even go into the room where we store it,and this is odd for a cat who never met a closed door she didn't want to be on the other side of!

Sunny seems to be the most affected by the hoover. He used to hide under my bed for an hour or two. Now as soon as he sees the hoover, he'll run into my room and hide. Pepper wil usually run in there as well. I usually have to pick up Storm and put him in my room. If I don't he'll want to run in there a few minutes after I've started vacuuming. I then shut the door to my room. When I want to vacuum my room, I'll put them out in the other room. This seems to work well for them.

Hmm, I used to make a point of putting the cats in a room where I wasn't vacuuming, but discovered accidently that they will do this for themselves once "Mr. Vroom-vroom" starts up. Livvy seems to actually have moments of daring where she scampers back and forth near the door of the room being vacuumed. I've wondered if this is some variation on 'kitty chicken' game?

    hoover ??????????? whas dad ???

My sydney must be the weirdest cat around then !!! When I pass with the hoover around his "throne" , he does not even move an inch !!!! silly boy hey !!!
May be it is because it's a central vacuum system ?? The motor is in the garage and the pipes lead to there from everywhere in the house ; so the noise is much lower !!! We had to install this system as both my kids are allergic to dust ; so a normal duster or vacuumer is forbidden !!!

Lut! I wish I had that system here, I would hoover twice as much!

Fister is getting braver now, but when I come close enough, he disappears under the bed!

We lock them in their room when we vacuum but I think if they had a choice, all 3 would be under my bed.
Max for sure would be under my bed as thats his place of choice when company comes over :/ Waaaay in the back in the dead middle.
