    Test Pictures

I finally spent some quality time with my camera. I've had it over 3 months and never actually sat down to learn it since I become distracted way too easily. I originally had a Canon Powershot A80 which I absolutely loved. It was easy to handle, easy to operate...basically a great camera to learn photography.

My sister needed a new camera for her trip to Egypt so I gave her my A80 and upgraded to the Canon G6. Wow, this camera operates so differently it had me a little nervous. I became frustrated very fast...and long story short, left it in the camera box and ignored it for a few months. Recently, I pulled it back out of the box and gave it another try. This camera works best in manual mode and therefore requires more prep time for pictures which I'm not used to. I think I'm finally getting the hang of it and think I will keep it. Now I just need to practice, practice, practice......and gaining some patience along the way wouldn't hurt either!

Here's some test shots and as you will notice I've been dabbling in Photoshop as well (another huge program to learn...will it ever end???).

Comments and critiques more than welcome.

Those are beautiful pictures, Kass. I always love any pics that you take of "half faces". As for Nakita.....KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS on that little nosie.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
