    ~ Happy Birthday Shadow ~

    Today my lovely Miss Shadow turned 10 years old.

    We have been through a lot together, good and bad, she was my very first dog and a dream come true. I couldn't have asked for a better first dog, she taught me a lot of things. She was the perfect puppy, never chewing anything and never had an accident in the house. I was only about 7 when we got her and she loved to take me for walks! She is the best cuddle buddy anyone could ever ask for and is just a joy to be around. Everybody that meets her is just amazed how sweet and gentle she really is.
    We unfortunately didn't have a digi when she was little And I was having a difficult time finding some of the older pictures...but here are a couple.

    Sorry about the variation in sizes..whoops!

    First we went to the park, a HUGE fenced in area, Shadow LOVED it! (the others did too of course!) I think it was a bit too much activity for her though, she was keeping up with the young uns, something she hasn't done in a very long time! I was very impressed, but when we got back she was a little limpy

    My camera broke last week, so I had to use my brothers...please excuse the horrible smudges and blurs in the pictures, evidently it hadn't been cleaned (or used!) in a long time









    When we got back we had some cake!!

    Mmmm...the (icky!) cake


    Jack was the only one that let me put frosting on his nose, hehe.


    The gorgeous birthday girl, she was all smiles today!

    To add to the torture, the kitty got the first bite!


    The cake took an hour to prepare and bake...it was gone in less than 5 seconds!!

    Group picture! They were less than amused!






    I didn't get any pictures taken during present time, but Shadow got a bunch of new stuffies (which are long gone now ) and a few things of treats that I got while on vacation last week! They are all pooped and sleeping now!!

    Thanks guys!

    The cake:

    1 cup white or whole wheat flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 cup peanut butter
    1/4 cup cooking oil
    1 cup shredded carrots
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 egg

    Mix all together, bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.

    I ate some too VERY bland, but not bad

    The frosting was dog food, sugar and milk ground up, it looked REALLY disgusting so I added some red food coloring (which made it turn the purple color). Didn't eat any of the frosting though

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHADOW !!!

    WOW!!!! What a special party for a very special girl. I couldn't be more impressed that all the party goers kept their hats on for the duration of the festivities. Love the cake too. Great pics of your pretty birthday girl, Shadow. She's absolutely gorgeous. Love the puppy pics of her too!! It seems that the party was a huge success!

    Looks like she had a great day, she's such a pretty girl. I love her second puppy picture, reminds me a lot of Morgan before she grew into her ears a bit...lol
