    Dear Friend;

    I am in the middle of a divorce and living in Baghdad, Iraq. My husband abandoned our home, along with our dogs and cats. After months of trying to find someone willing to live in my home free of charge and utilities, just to take care of them, my mother took them to a shelter. It is NOT a good one and I've had poor reports. Lady, my 7-year-old, female Dalmatian, is not handling the shelter well. I am unable to return home. My beautiful, loving dog should not have to pay for the mistakes and neglect of others. Please help me. I can be contacted at this email address, as I check it daily. Lady, and her long-time companion Lola (medium black mixed breed), is currently in an ARF shelter in Amelia, OH. I am quite willing to pay the expenses plus a substantial monthly fee if someone would be willing to foster my babies.

    Any information that you can offer that might lead me to finding a temporary (6-months to a year) solution for my girls is tremendously appreciated!

    Sincerely,

    Jen

    I thought maybe the same thing. Seems like you would be able to get family or friends or even friends of friends to move in and live in your house for FREE for 6 months to a year - and all ya gotta do is is take care of the dogs???!!!

    Heck, I was thinking about doing it... just kidding. If it is real, then I hope it works out for her. But if she asks for your bank account so she can "DEPOSIT" money into it for the dogs upkeep, don't do it. You're bank account will be empty before you can say "hotdog-diggity"!

    I did a little looking around since the message came across one of the dal rescue yahoo groups, this is what I found: According to Jen, the dogs were supposedly turned into a shelter in Ohio by her mother. Not the one she thought according to her email, but in searching I found them at the Animal Adoption Foundation in Hamilton, Ohio. I'm not so sure it's a scam. Her two dogs are there on the website. Here's the link:

    Hmm... well, in any case, I hope that the dogs find a foster, or homes!
