    does anyone know.....

    Hi,
I have a little chi-pooh, 9 months old, who will come to whatever area of the house we are in and sit in front of us with one of his paws lifted up about 2 inches off the floor. He just started doing this and it is not one paw in particular. My husband thinks this is some sort of "message", that he is trying to tell us something. I am just curious as to what this does mean, if anything at all. Does anyone have any idea?
    Thanks,
    lily

Well if it is the right paw, it usually means that it is going to rain, but if it is the left paw - then she is trying to tell you are going to come into some serious money... unless, of course, it is Friday - then all bets are off and you should be on guard as the ol' left paw Friday hex is in effect. Now you knew that... everybody knows that!!!

No, really... I don't think she is giving you any particular message, unless of course... you do!!!

I don't really know what the heck I am talking about, but it seemed to be fun!

    paws

Our lab X, Maddy, does this all the time. It is usually an attention-getting tactic. And it works! We're trying to teach her how to shake since she already has this strange habit.

    dog gives paw

Your dog is just trying to 'high five' you. Just kidding. Your dog of course, is just trying to get your attention. Be happy he's not walking up to you trying to put his butt in your face like my German Shepherd! He likes to have the top of his tail scratched and he comes at me butt first sometimes. At first I thought it was cute but now I ignore him because I don't want to be his scratch slave.

My friend's labrador does this as well, and its usually to get food because she always does this when ever they're eating.

My Dixie does this and it's because she wants her feet rubbed. It gives her GREAT satisfaction and judging from the look on her face sometimes, ecstacy! So I rub them for her! She has me and everyone else in my family well trained! LOL

Dusty on the other hand (er I mean Paw) hates his paws touched and will pull away if I even try to get near them!
