Tubby and Peanuts Mom, and anyone else who might be wondering where the term "Hummer" Comes from:

The military has a fondness for acronyms. The original contract nomenclature to the vehicle now know as the Hummer was the "High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle" or HMMWV. this became Humvee, which was later shortned even further to Hummer.

Richard- is the bar going to be open tonight? If so, get the Coffee going, I'll have an Irish coffee, heavy on the Jamesons', short on the coffee.

while we're on the subject of ducks, we've beaten Duct tape to death, but what about duck sauce? Is that the leftover ground duck from making the glue for the Duck tape?

Yes the bar will be open tonight!

Sorry, didn't mean to jump into your area of expertise...

I heard this one years ago...

A soldier was looking thru a catalogue for a replacement zipper.
Unable to find the appropriate 'fix' for his problem, he approached his platoon leader and explained his problem...There is no zipper under the letter "Z".

The platoon leader explained to him that he wouldn't find it under "Z"- He's have better luck looking under "I".....

Wow, has it been this kind of week for everyone??

I thought I was the only one who wanted to go home and hide (I'll do the comforter, but not the duck).

Had a run in with ducks once - never again. Ducks not only quack - they poop - A LOT! And falling in it was not a pleasant experience. The only good thing was I was too drunk to really care. It was a great party!

If we dress up the little duckies in orange vests we'd have "Duckies a l'orange"

"Orange" you glad I came to this bar???

    Oh, that was bad.....

And if my head was on fire and I ducted down wouldn't that be BBQ Duck??

    check this out!!!

    Cliff helps to clear pubs

Landlords have found the best way to get rid of drinkers at closing time at Christmas is to play a Cliff Richard song.

Pub bosses watched the reaction of customers to festive tunes and it was 64-year-old Cliff singing his 1988 No1 hit Mistletoe And Wine who cleared bars the fastest.

The carol Silent Night, Aled Jones' Walking in the Air and Elvis' Blue Christmas were also a turn-off for drinkers.

A spokesman for John Barras pubs said: "Christmas wouldn't be complete without Cliff but he certainly gets customers to drink up."

    I'll take Champagne, bartender!!!
