I made one for my snakes by getting a piece of plexiglass cut at the hardware store and epoxying it into my tank. Total cost was less then $20.

Call your vet and ask about the pregnancy thing.

Separate them ASAP! If she gives birth he will impregnate her again immediately.

    Thank you Wolf_Q!

You could use Icarus's cage until you get a divider I'll want it back in atleast a copule days though If you take it, you'll probably get fed up with it, it has two large holes on both sides (because it connects to two other cages on each side). I have something that will cover up one side, but not the other, so you'll have to push the cage up to a wall or something and stick like a book in between them so the gerb can't get out..

Epoxying is...gluing it with epoxy glue. Plexiglass is really inexpensive, I think it was around $2 per foot^2.

Just call a hardware store and ask. Plexiglass is not very expensive.

    tikeyas_mom....

Are you positive she is pregant? I know they mated but that doesn't automatically mean it took.

It must be worth putting a divider in asap, in case you are wrong.

yes I know. I am not sure if she is pregnant but I am just going on by what I seen.

I am trying to think of a way to divide them. it isnt that easy. I have a 10gallon tank and dividing it would make each side tiny. so I am still thinking of ways to do this.

Could you buy a second cage ?

Are cages very expensive to buy ? (I've never owned a small pet so I have no idea)

I think it was WolfChan (Sorry if I got the name wrong) who posted a thread about getting a cage for $12 from a garage sale. Maybe this is something you could do, look in local papers, charity shops, garage sales. You might be lucky.

I'm the one who got the cage There won't be any more garage sales until next weekend, but the gerbils won't be born for a couple weeks so I'm sure she has time

I have checked garage sales last weekend and there was no pet stuff just toys and crap.

1 habbitrail cage coats around 30$ each. and it is HELL to put together. I looked at thrif shops but my friend bought the last hamster cage for me and it is currently occupied.

I dont know what to do, I think I might have tog ive one of my gerbils away to the spca along with thge pups if I cannot find a cage asap.

I might keep one of the pups that is the same sex as the parent. but I dont know what gerbil to keep Sage or Jade. I love them both so much. .

Could you possibly make a cage, out of a rubbermaid tub? But with a wire roof? Or something? I wouldn't take them to the Spca..
you still have more than two weeks to get a cage. I'm going garage saling next weekend, I'll keep a lookout for you, or you could come with me and I'll look with you But I don't know how early you would like to wake up to go, lol, all the good stuff is there early

If you could get another cage, than you could split up Jade and Sage, and when the babies are born, you could keep a male one with Jade and a female one with Sage. I'll help you sex them, I'm not so great, lol, but I can lend a hand.

Also, my dad got the Fink a plastic tank at Liquidation World for only 15 dollars. I'm not sure how big it is, but it's fairly big. Big enough for the rat, so big enough for the gerb
