I had beef stew for lunch and meatloaf for dinner, I guess I covered all the bases.

    Anyone for an Irish coffee?

When the doc tells you "Don't worry, it's not going to bother you"............It's time to worry.

Had a couple spots frozen off of my feet, I'm on day two of not going to work. I can't put pressure on the ball of one foot, and I can't flex one toe on the other.

    I love modern medicine.......

I'll do an Irish w/you and we can tell foot stories.....

Yeah, reminds me of the dentist joke.

A man hears the same thing in the dentist chair, he reaches over and grabs the doc by the short hairs.....

The doc asks why he's doing that and the patient says something like, "I'll give you a squeeze when I start to feel something."

I had a wood splinter jammed in my foot for a year, Can't x-ray it and exploratory surgery is cost prohibitive?

"Oh, it will work it's way out!!"

Yikes - but I can do you better than that! I have a pin in my foot - a metal straight pin, like one uses for sewing? It's just missing the head, and I don't know who was more surprised, me or the doc, the first time me feet were x-rayed! And its obviously not "working its way out" as it has probably been there since i was a kid!

Yeah, I really wish you and Jodo would have done better picking up the pins and needles from the floor when you were sewing....

I never caused any of that!

    shudder.

At least the steel stuff CAN be found.

The splinter punched thru the callus, it POPPED thru, then the tail end broke off.

As the callus wore down, the splinter began to come out, but my walking would jam it in to the underlying skin.

It caused all my toes to hurt and at night I would thrash about trying the 'kick' the darn thing out.

The callus it was stuck in peeled off leaving me a little dimple about the size of a dime on my sole-My SOUL is in far worse condition, but I digress?

Everything is better now but I am a firm believer of taking care of your feet!

Probably stepped on it with cold feet when I was a kid, and barely noticed. Dad used to claim Ma and we kids were gonna kill him with pins in the feet - so they both got a pretty good laugh when I called and told him!

Just popping in quickly to say hi and get me some refreshment.

Hmmm, it's mid afternoon, time for a Gin and Tonic with some nibblies. I could sure use some crackers and cheeze or maybe some antipasto with good crust bread. Nummies.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
