We're very familiar with Phil in this household. My husband's family is from a rural area in PA where "Punxsy" is the BIG town!
In honor of Punxsy Phil - a DOTD and I made a special mac & cheese with bacon and broccoli to share. Anyone?

We have our own groundhog. Wiarton Willy. He's in Ontario somewhere. Same deal though, with shadow or not, more winter or not.
Chilly here this morning, hot chocolate to start the day?

Well, good luck with that PETA. This tradition has been around here in Pennsylvania for over 100 years.
Do you think PETA would be offended if I sent them my Ground Hog recipes?![]()
I'll make some hot chocolate, and still in honor of Aunt Zsa, I'll even serve it in the lovely hot chocolate pot and cups - porcelain of course, that I inherited from Aunt Bertha! I said "what's that" at the shape of the pot, and my antique-dealer friend told me "hot chocolate pot, of course"! My best hot chocolate is extra rich, and has cinnamon added - want some, Gayle? Others?
