Yes, Florida has a lot of fleas and ticks, but I've never heard of anything happening like that as a result. I don't think I've ever seen a flea on any of my animals, but ticks are a whole other story. Ticks are sooo bad here, I keep my dogs on Frontline and still find ticks.![]()

Anyway, I hope Nebo is better soon.
Bitsy (my pom) is having a hard time with allergies right now too, but my other 4 are fine. It's weird because during the day she's not too bad, but at night she is really itchy. She has pills that help take off the edge, but that's about all they do. I've also been bathing her in an oatmeal & tea tree oil shampoo, which helps.Originally posted by The boys Mom
Wolf Q I live in florida. I am writing this to HOPEFULLY put some of your fears to rest. We have had our cairn terrier to the vet twice in the past 2 months. It seems there is something in the air here in florida that is giving usually normal healthy dogs allergies. Boogies has had a very serious skin infection and the vet said he is not the only one to come in recently. Hopefully if you have been to florida it is just an allergic reaction to what we do not know. But it seems to be common here recently. My other dog Elvis who is a large dog (1/2 rottweiler, 1/2 boxer) has NO symptoms what-so-ever. So whatever is going over is completely random. Hope I have eased your mind a little. Our babies are our love.
