Hoping all goes well with your doc visit, and that the results are nothing to worry about. Glad you're getting checked to put your mind at ease. Here's a chuckle for today...........(hopefully it'll be over and done with when you read this).

    The Mammogram poem

For years and years they told me, Be careful of your breasts. Don't ever squeeze or bruise them. And give them monthly tests.

So I heeded all their warnings, And protected them by law. Guarded them very carefully, And I always wore my bra.

After 30 years of astute care, My gyno, Dr. Pruitt, Said I should get a Mammogram.

    "O.K," I said, "let's do it."

"Stand up here real close" she said, (She got my boob in line,) "And tell me when it hurts," she said, "Ah yes! Right there, that's fine."

She stepped upon a pedal, I could not believe my eyes! A plastic plate came slamming down, My hooter's in a vice!

My skin was stretched and mangled, From underneath my chin. My poor boob was being squashed, To Swedish Pancake thin.

Excruciating pain I felt, Within it's vice-like grip. A prisoner in this vicious thing, My poor defenseless tit!

"Take a deep breath" she said to me, Who does she think she's kidding?!? My chest is mashed in her machine, And woozy I am getting.

"There, that's good," I heard her say, (The room was slowly swaying.) "Now, let's have a go at the other one."

    Have mercy, I was praying.

It squeezed me from both up and down, It squeezed me from both sides. I'll bet SHE'S never had this done, To HER tender little hide.

Next time that they make me do this, I will request a blindfold. I have no wish to see again, My knockers getting steamrolled.

If I had no problem when I came in, I surely have one now. If there had been a cyst in there, It would have gone "ker-pow!"

This machine was created by a man, Of this, I have no doubt. I'd like to stick his balls in there, And see how THEY come out.

Anna, definitely positive thoughts and prayers going out to you. My bosses wife had the same thing and it turned out to be nothing. She was particularly shaken because it hadn't been that long since she had some skin cancer removed from her face - for the third time!

I always tend to look on the bright side of things and it appears to me that you definitely caught it early, so even if there is a problem with it, those problems will be minimized by your quick action taking.

I've only had one mammogram so far. A "base-line" they did when I was 40, and I was really hoping technology would improve and they'd come up with a better way to do this before I need another one, so I can definitely relate to your apprehension. An ultrasound on the other hand - piece of cake! They put some goopy stuff on you and just rub a nice rounded mouse-type device on you taking pictures now and then. And they usually warm the goopy stuff too, so it's not freezing cold.

Anway, good luck tomorrow and we'll all be thinking about you!

    ROFLMAO!!!!

I've copied and emailed the poem to my best friend Susie, whose "knockers" shall we say are literally non-existent. Only a woman can appreciate THAT poem!

You are in our prayers. You're nervous because it's a lump. Anyone would be. And I hope it's "nothing" and that everything goes as well as can be today, even with the squish-o-gram.

I'm thinking of you today Anna. Lumps do not always mean cancer. Please let us know how it goes.

Oh, and Debbie, take two 40DD's and squeeze them as hard as you can.....now say ouch!!! I have to go every two years since I'm "over the hill".
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

I had a baseline Mammogram @ 35, then didn't have another until my 40th. Well happy 40th birthday to me. It came back with a questionable area, so I had to have a lumpectomy and thank God it wasn't cancer, but every year when I go to have it done I go into shock, I get myself so worked up and scared. I know just how you feel and how worried you are. You will be in my prayers and hopefully it will be nothing. Many women have cysts that come and go too. Better to be safe than sorry though.

I hope it's something minor, like fibroids. I'll be thinking of you hon!

*edit* Wanted to add that I had found a small lump and I have fibroids.

Your all so sweet, thank you!

Well it's all done and over with now and boy let me tell you, having the one that was hurting done was almost the most painful thing I've ever felt I would have cried if it would have done any good (I'm still really, really sore today). Luckily the right one didn't hurt nearly as bad.
The dr there did say the mammogram looked different than before so we will see what the surgeon has to say (on the 5th), but they couldn't find anything on the ultrasound (which is good!)
I'm sure it's nothing I just want it to quit hurting

Mark was a good husband and took me out for breakfast afterwards and even bought me a flower (I love that man of mine!)
Here's my flower...a pen and pad...isn't it cute

I'll let you all know what happens on Thursday!
