Just had to revive this thread.
As I speak I have a big pot of ham and pea soup cooking on the stove that I plan to dig into when I settle down with the kitties to watch TV.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Not really a food, but...hot chocolate!

Also baked potatoes! Don't ask me why, but I loooooove baked potatoes, especially when I'm down or stressed.

Others have already mentioned many of my comfort foods, but one that hasn't been mentioned is Spanish Rice made with hamburger, onion, green pepper, tomato sauce, chili powder, etc. Top a big helping of that with a glob of ketchup and accompanying piece of bread and butter.

Oh slick!! SOUP!! Of course!!! I must get a pot of soup simmering on the stove. This cooler weather is perfect for that I don't have ham or peas but a pot of potato soup sounds yummy to me!!! Will add cheese right at the end YUM

I'm not really sure. I would have to say... hmmm.... a piece of toast and hot coco. I know it's kind of a breakfast food, but they are both hot and hot coco is so warm and it makes me relaxed.
