Leslie, I understand your sentiments and hope that one day you can come back and say hello. I have enjoyed your company here and adored the stories and pictures of your pets along the way.

    Good luck with your furkids!

    Leslie,

I don't really know you very well, but it is sad to see Pet Talkers leaving because they feel that the general standard of the board has slipped. I too, have seen the standards slip in the short time that I have been kickin' around!

I do hope that you will return as everyone will be missing your furkids!

It was good of you to let everyone know what you are doing so as to avoid any further hoaxes ....

Good luck! And hopefully see you soon!

    Tamara

P.S ... I think that many of the teenagers on this board such as Kfamr, Wolfsoul and many others make a great contribution to this board and to society in general. Adults, stop condemning and judging teenagers and encourage them to be good people who love their pets and are model members of society!

Johanna, you said that very eloquently! I agree.

As for teens v. non teens....it depends on the teen. Teens are just like everyone else. There are good and bad. There is one teen here that makes my bile rise, but then there are lots of others that are incredibly sweet and loving. Maybe it's the teacher in me that enjoys some of that stuff, but, sometimes it gets old and we intolerant "oldsters" need to take a step back. DANG it's depressing to be 41 and be an oldster!

Anyway, that being said, Leslie, I left for awhile too and eventually I was called back. I hope that is the case for you too.

Teenagers shouldnt be the ones who are blamed for all of this.. ONE very immature teenager did a stupid act that made people mad, doesnt mean they are all immature.. Sorry to hear that you have to leave because of this, yeah the lying is getting a little old, but im putting up with it because i know thats not me, nor my friends on here who are doing that.. and, because its the place i love to be.. So Teens have just an equal right to be here as adults.. i have a teen that i ignore on here because well she really happens to annoy me.. (a little out of the blue there sorry) If some teens choose to be immature then ignore them.. You cant do anything about them so thats why im staying.. Ill just ignore them and make sure im not talking to them.. So this isnt all the teens fault seeings that im a teen too i dont like being accused of being immature.. sorry had to voice my opionion..

What you don't realize by callousing posting this is Leslie is a very sensitive person and this "comment" probably hurt her feelings immensely. She was absolutely devasted when someone rated her thread on her cat Minion being sick a one. And no amount of re-rating could make up for that.
I seem to remember a time when you were leaving, not just PetTalk but I believe your home, now did anyone come on there and basically say "Don't let the door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya" ?? Not that I am aware of, and by posting it this way, that is in essense what you are saying.

Sorry to be a little irrelevant, but how can you tell if it's a good rating or a bad rating? I've always wondered....

When replying to a thread you can chose to rate it where it says "Rate this Thread: Select a rating (optional)" 1 being the worst, 5 being the bst.

We love you, Leslie...you and Dan and our BELOVED Super Graham and Kersey and Minion and Mindy. You were a "founding memeber" of the Pet Talk family almost 3 yrs. ago; perhaps some aren't aware of that. And perhaps some aren't aware of how much you mean to us. I'd like to those who may not you, a bit about our dear friend Leslie and just what she and her family has meant to us.

We all cried our eyes out the day our precious Graham fell from the apartment balcony, shattered his leg and became permanently disabled. And we sent you our strength, love and prayers as you endured a mother's agony, watching Graham struggle through his rehab. and attempts to return to agility (Remember when he was a TV star???

We cheered and congratulated you when you bought your first home...(superintendent free!)
You welcomed dear Kersey into your home and we were behind you all the way as you struggled through those first rough weeks. And then there were the ups and downs, heartbreaks and smiles you experienced with the precious fosters and of course, Minion's illness and the adoption of adorable Mindy.

Wow, that was a run on sentence; no that was my heart pouring out it's love for you and your family. Now, you know what you mean to us!! So take a breath, take a break and hurry back. Noting else is acceptable! Love you. Sandra, Cody, Star, Oliver, Mr. B and Moon
