We were not married in a church. Our wedding was a sudden one and we went to a place that was cheap lol. We just felt right about the timing of everything but our familes could not afford anything extensive. We went to the same wedding chapel that my parents got married in. Nevada has a ton of these places and ceremonies run 20 to 75 bux and honestly arent as "cheap" feeling as people make them out to be.
    So romantic huh lol

Did you marry in church? (most recent marriage if been married more than once)
Yes, in a non-denominational church as I am Catholic and hubby is Methodist. (We did get married much later in the Catholic Church.)

    If answer is yes,
    Are you Religious?
    Yes
Why did you marry in church? We wanted Gods blessing.

    If answer no
    - Where did you marry and why?

Yes, we married in our local parish church.
I do not strictly practice my religion nor does my ex-husband.

We married in the Catholic church because we both attended church at
that time & that was the custom.

We were married in the Catholic Church my husband grew up in, and had 2 priests, both close friends of my parents officiating. I don't know that I would say that we are overally religious, but we do have our beliefs. We were both brought up in Catholic families, attended Catholic school, and it never occured to me to not get married in a church.

Did you marry in church? (most recent marriage if been married more than once) No, we didn't.

    - Where did you marry and why? We were married in Park City, Utah at a B & B. I am a believer with no home church (hearin' you there- Medusa ) and an introvert. Hubby is agnostic, so out of respect, I didn't want to make anyone uncomfortable, so we had a destination wedding.
We didn't know the officiate, that didn't bother me, since I didn't know any church official. I feel I had God's blessing, no matter where we were, He goes with me.
BTW, Our 10th anniversary is Friday.

    Got married in a church.

Why? Because we wanted a spiritual aspect...even though neither one of us was religious. We were okay with this - had seen the minister for a bit of pre-counselling - and wanted our families to be comfortable as well. Talking about God - who my hubby called "Louie" - was part of our marriage.

Did you marry in church? Sort of yes. We were married in a Tabernacle at a Christian Campground.

    - Are you Religious? No
    - Why did you marry in church? We married in the Tabernacle as a compromise. We wanted an outdoor wedding, but the in laws freaked out about us not marrying in a church. The Tabernacle had an "outdoor" feel and was churchy enough to please the in laws. My old neighbor who is a non-denominational pastor officiated. In-laws weren't too keen about that (they are Lutheran) but my parents intervened.
