Went to the doctor a week ago for the annual check up. Got a call from them this afternoon to see him tomorrow for lab results. Got to be something bad. They don't call you in for good news. Guess there will be no sleeping tonight.

I won't tell you to try and relax because I know I wouldn't be able to. I just hope it's not really bad news. And don't forget PT prayers. They work wonders. Check in tomorrow after you get home, ok? Something that relaxes me is to get a coffee at the local coffee shop and sit there for a while. Maybe do something that relaxes you before your visit to the doctor.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
I miss you
I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.
Fur as dark as the night.
Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Do you know what lab test you had - glucose, cholesterol???
I think it's terrible of them not to give you some idea of what they want to see you about. When I had an elevated glucose, they called and told me the results, then had me go to the lab a week later for a repeat - to verify the results. Just as high blood pressure cannot be confirmed by one weird reading, a single lab test is not definitive. Request a 2nd test.
Do you ever request results be sent to you? You have every legal right to a copy - they are your test results. I always have a copy sent to me, and often get them before the doctor sees them. You can tell if the results are okay, as the normal limits are indicated next to each test.
They did the same thing to me 2 years ago when they found a lump in my breast that ended up being removed. Except that call came on a Friday afternoon. I asked the girl if it was something bad, she said she could not tell me. So I wait, ever so patiently (said thru gritted teeth!)

Ugh, I know how you feel!! When I was pregnant with Jeremy, after his 18 week ultrasound, they called (on a Friday!!), and said they needed to re-look at some things, but wouldn't tell me exactly what was wrong...that weekend was sooo hard to get through! They shouldn't be allowed to do that!!He had "bright" looking kidneys on ultrasound, that did turn out to be a type of kidney disorder that he has....but that waiting was soooo hard!! I'll be thinking of you, hope all is well!!
I will keep you in my good thoughts!
Hope everything goes well.
You're the one sure thing I've found so you better stick around...Best Fireman in da House´10
