Boof is Sick! :(

Boof has been acting weird the paste couple of days. he cant blink his left eye, he drools and just yesterday he has started having trouble eating. we have to put eye drops in his eye every couple of hours so he doesnt do any damage to the cornea. he has an appointment with the vet today in about 3 hours.

i am worried for him. i looked it up on the net and i think he has a problem with his molars. that can also cause the eye problems. he will probably need an x ray today and then get his teeth filed down. he would have to go under a general anesthetic.

hopefully we have caught it early, otherwise there could be an infection caused by the problem teeth and that brings a who lot more problems!!!

Boof (and I) could use your thoughts and prayers during this time.

well i just came back from the vet. they shoved a thermometer up his butt

. poor little guy. his temp was good so no infection. he put this dye in his eye that changes from orange to green if something is wrong, but that was fine, it also drained out his nose, so his tear ducts are not blocked. he doesn't think it is the teeth cause he didn't seem to be in pain. boof has a fat lump next to his ear that may be pushing on the nerve that controls blinking. he referred us to a rabbit specialist. he also stuck a needle in the fat lump to see if it was an abcess or something, but no fluid came out. anywayz it doesn't seem to serious just yet, hopefully the other vet will be able to give us some answers. i will keep you updated.
