Poor little Hobo had to go to the vet today. He was supposed to go last week, but he knew something was up and wouldn't let me near him! He's been yelping for a couple weeks when he chews. He can eat soaked kibble, but nothing hard at all. Hobo's always been a very enthusastic eater. Dinner is the highlight of his whole day. He's still eating his squishy kibble, but not with his usual joy.
He was a doofus at the clinic. Did his happy dance on the scale! Sat on my lap in the exam room! Fortunately, he did actually yelp like he does when he eats so the vet could hear the ear piercing noise! Hobo has a phenomonal pain tolerance. He rarely yelped through his entire recovery from the wolf attack and he has some hideous injuries at that time. It takes alot to get a yelp out of Psycho Puppy.
He starts anti-biotics today and they are squeezing him in for surgery on Monday. It looks like he'll loose most of his molars on his top jaw. His front teeth, canines ect look really good, but his back teeth on top are rotten!
A woman in the waiting room asked if he was just a puppy. He is quite small...50 pounds, solid muscle and very compactly built. I don't think she believed me when I told her he just turned 10! He does have a few other age related problems. His eyes are getting cloudy and he has several lipomas. I don't think of Hobo as a senior so that was a little hard to hear!
