Kari - those pictures are adorable!! I also enjoy the squirrels and think they are fun to watch (yes they can be pesky too since we have had them in the attic and chimney)
No squirrels in Japan?? Ah!!! But you have lovely pigeons on your patio![]()

KBlaix, what kind of squirels are those? We have grey squirrels where we live.

I see a couple, grays and the ones like KBlaix's and also black squirrels. I am so happy, don't ask me why I am over this, but Lexi saw her first squirrel the other day!I made a huge deal about it!
She saw him outside(she was sitting on the back of the couch) jumped down and then somehow jumped back up onto the couch, like over the back!
LOL!
I don't see many more around...but I don't miss them![]()
I wish I could see them too, where I grew up in Texas we didn't have squirrels. Now in Tucson we don't have any either. I've seen a few at the park, they are ground squirrels but I've never seen them anywhere else around town.
I've been Defrosted!
Thanks for the great signature Kay!
We have them here, they can be a pain sometimes, but mostly I like watching them. We have all different colors. The grey, brownish, and a few black ones, mostly in town. I have a big fat one missing his tail that hangs around.
Forever in my heart...

I couldn't find any pictures of the squirrels who live in my crabapple tree, but here's a cute one I found on the internet.
We have Eastern Grey Squirrels- Sciurus caroliniensis. It is the North Carolina state mammal! They also have a "black phaze" color mutation within the species, I think.
Here is an interesting one I found! I black Eastern Gray Squirrel with a red tail!![]()

My hubby was laughing at me so hard when he saw that I had a picture of a squirrel on my desktop. There aren't many animals except for birds where we live, but this section of Japan is mostly urban. Off base trees and even grass are few and far between.
Can you believe that poor Boomer has NEVER gotten the pleasure of squirrel watching???![]()

To know them is to love them. I adore pigeons. I've raised and rescued them too, they're wonderful. My good friend currently has 2 one-winged pigeons named Vegas and Reno. They really are very wonderful birds.Originally posted by Sirrahsim

Thank you. I raised him last summer. He was a baby and was injured in Hurricane Charlie. I had his sister too, but she couldn't be saved, she was too badly injured (broken backOriginally posted by sirrahbed
