I'll Stand By You: The Pretenders
    Here's a sample. I just love Chrissie Hynde's voice.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.
    [/SIZE]

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

I keep coming across songs that have such a strong meaning to me right now, since my dad's death is right around the corner. These are some that really pull my strings...

    MercyMe - Homesick Lyrics

Monk & Neagle - Dancing with the Angels Lyrics

    *Love you daddy* <3
    ><> <>< ><> <>< ><> <>< ><> <><

    <>< ><> <>< ><> <>< ><> <>< ><>

Faith is being able to jump first and grow wings later

When a waterbug leaves his friends and climbs the stalks, he is unable to return. But he gains a beautiful new body and a glorious perspective on a new world. He knows his friends will join him with their new bodies one day...one glorious day

Me too! I have a good friend who's in a Christian Celtic band called The Carpenters Son. They are awesome and I go to all the concerts. Here's the link to their website in case your are interested! I have both of their CD's

I'm such a sap that there are soooo many songs that bring me to tears. Two off the top of my head are:
    Puff the Magic Dragon
Bright Eyes (from the movie Watership Down)

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

I agree with all of the above. My vote goes to "The Rose" by Bette Midler. It makes me think of my mom who was killed in a bus accident when I was 10 years old.

    Have You Forgotten-Darryl Worley
I lost my best friend on 9-11. She was on the 86th floor of the first tower. She was only 23 and had just come back off of maternity leave.

    Pictures-Alabama
Reminds me of the broken relationship I have with my father, and how I grew up without him in my life. The only way he has ever known me is through pictures.

He Didn't Have To Be-Brad Paisley
My step-dad who has always been my Dad, and how even at 26 I'm still his little girl.

When You say Nothing At All-Alison Krauss
The way I felt when I fell in love with Lee.

    Love Me-Collin Raye
This was the song for a friend and our relationship. We broke up over something stupid, but we're still friends

    The Great Divide-Point of Grace
I love the spirituality of this song, and it always keeps my faith strong.

Ok yes...Puff the Magic Dragon. I can't even think about the words to that song without wanting to cry.

    Also

Dance with my father again - Luther Vandross

I have to turn it off every time it comes on. It makes me so sad.
