As far as litter goes, I have only used the Carefresh litter. It is about $20.00 for a huge bag (I think it is 40 or 50 liters). It has always worked well for me. I change my rabbits litter box usually three times a week. I put newspaper in the bottom and then pour the litter on top of it. That bag usually last me about 4 weeks or maybe a little less. Please do not get something that is cedar scented (actually I think anything scented is not a good idea). And do not used cat litter! That isn't a good idea with rabbits. It can get stuck in their intestines if they eat it.
