I'd have to admit, I have never done cross stitch. I would love to do it some day though!!!

Poppy, I know your mom is going to love it! Not only because it is beautiful, but because you made it especially for her!

I know that took a long time to make, there are a lot of stiches in that picture! I used to do a lot of cross stiching, still have a lot of it framed in my house, it took a long time, but was lots of fun!

Yeap, your mom will love it!

Excellent job. It is very pretty. If I had a daughter who made something like that for me I would treasure it forever.

PCB, you did a wonderful job on it! Your mom is going to treasure that always.

I love to cross stitch, too. I have the same bad habit of doing a lot, and then I sort of get burned out. I'll stop for months then I'll get the urge, pick it up, and finish it off.

That's awesome! I did the same thing for my mother a few years back and she cried when I gave it to her. It was the same thing with her, she knew I was working on it. Funny thing, though, it took me like five years. ha ha, I'd work on it every few months and sometimes for a couple days straight. it was hard! But, I got it cleaned, matted and framed and gave it to her as a mother's day/birthday present. She didn't know I'd finished it, and, was cried like a baby when I gave it to her. Your mom will LOVE that! Maybe I'll see if I have a photo of the one I did and I'll see if I can scan it and post it. It's a great gift idea.

    Thanks, Dogz!

Thanks everyone. I showed it to my mom and she LOVED it! Still have to get a frame though...

That's a beautiful poem Pam! Now that I've finished, I want to start another project. I might just make one with that poem someday, though my dad said the next one has to be for him!
