Mowgli update, please!!!

I made it here too late to mention Pill Pockets...but lucky for you both the vet carries them! My kitties are clueless they;re being medicated with them. They'd eat the whole bag if they could! Mowgli looks so at ease compared to day #1! He trusts you fully if he lets you give him tummy rubs! BIG sign of ultimate trust! Hope the poopy pew guts are remedied fast. Give him a kiss for me too! On the cheek!

Actually, CCL, Mowgli's already had a little trial run. When we were playing, he got by me by zooming beneath the cage door. I let him explore for a few minutes and then started waving a string around - which he instantly wanted to play with, and was able to lure him back into the cage. I'm just a little worried that once he is allowed to roam the office, he'll forget what the litterbox is for, especially since on the first day I had him here, he had decided that the tub was the litterbox (a mess which I almost ended up stepping in).

OMG! Mowgli does look like Fister's "Mini Me"! How cute!

I get the feeling those pill pockets are going to be a life-saver! If anyone remembers the drooly face pic of Zelda, well, Mowgli's taking the same stuff that gave her the drooly face. I was thrilled when he scarfed down the pill pocket with no troubles! Though when it comes time to give Mowgli his next dose, I'll definitely be holding off for a few hours. If I gave him the next pill right at 12 hours after this afternoon's dose, Mowgli would be getting medicated at 3 am. I think we'll just hold off until 6.

I'm so glad things are still going good Lacey! I think once you get the belly issues straightened out the litter box won't be a problem. I would, however, give him another one when you let him loose. The reason I say this is because he may not want to go back to the cage for fear of being locked up again. Then again he may think that is his house and he may enjoy relaxing in there with the door open. It's hard to say but I would give him two options. I don't think it will be a problem if you do it that way.
I know you have acutally posted quit a few pictures of the little guy but if I ask real nicely can we have some more? You better hurry before sirrabed starts that darn whining!!!

Heh! Mowgli just lost a couple of cuteness points. The little guy was wandering around the office when he strolled to the corner, squatted, and left me a nice little damp pee spot. So much for hoping that he'd remember what the litterbox is for. And I think he knew he did bad, because he got all hissy. Then when I came back with stuff to clean up the spot he ran back into his cage.

Ok, he had a setback with the litter box. He just doesnt' have this living inside stuff figured out yet. Plus he just got nuetered and his male hormones are still active even though he is young. He was probably marking territory but that will get better as time goes on. Maybe the next time he is out you could put a litter box where he peed.
So he is still a little hissy huh? Time and doing things slowly will cure that!

We love you Mowgli!!! You keep on being a good boy and no more of that peeing outside the box stuff!!
