    I think they're both beautiful, just different!

    My understanding is that there are actually two labrador breed standards. One is the American Standard -- tall and lanky, like Finn or Malone; and the other is the English Standard -- which is short and stocky like Emerson. I've never seen that in official writing, but that's my understanding.

    That's so odd that you would say that about the American and English! A lady at the dog park was saying that about a week ago, and, it was the first time I'd ever heard that! Interesting! I think the tall lanky ones look just like they're more bred to do the field trials and stuff like that.

    Good pictures! I hope Major turns out like Malone! Looking at the pictures from before, what kind of build do you think he has? Personally, I like the tall labradors better than the short and stocky ones. My friend Katherine has a yellow lab thats actually really white and he is short and stocky. They had a yellow lab that was yellow but she was on the taller side.

    Thanks so much, Chris and Everybody! Hugs and treats all around for them, and they send back lots of snuggles and kisses.

    We had company tonight, and they were sooo well behaved! I was very pleased with them. Malone even showed off a trick or two!
