Thanks for all your good thoughts!

I posted this while I was at school on Tues. I planned on calling the vet when I came home. However, I came home and my mom had given him some food and he ate all of it. I thought I'd wait and see if he threw that up too. He was fine, so I gave him some more food for dinner...mixed with a spoonful of canned dog food. He ate all of that and licked the bowl clean! I watched him carefully and nothing happened...no throwing up.

I took him to work with me today for a bath. He didn't eat the food I gave him there, but he never will eat it there. I'll see if he'll eat his dinner tonight.

Ugh Nebo just likes to keep me worried!

    poor nebo

I'm so sorry to hear about nebo, I hope he is feeling better. I had similar problems with my dog chase where he wouldn't eat for a period of time and then I noticed he was having diarrhea. He eventually got over the eating problem but the diarrhea persisted, but he never vomited. I took him to the vet and they did some blood work and found that his pancreatic values were extremely high. They also did a fecal check that showed nothing. The vet kept asking me if he was vomiting a lot because she said that was a sign of pancreatis. Chase never did vomit though, just the diarrhea and after some more testing and and ultrasound we found out his pancreas wasn't the problem, and that it was an abscess in his small intestine. I understand how you feel about the $174 vet bill. I spent over $700 trying to find out what was wrong with Chase and get him on the right medicine. I did ask the vet my parents go to in my hometown what she thought might be wrong with chase. She said that he would probably need an ultrasound of his abdomin because even though he was having diarrhea and his pancreatic values were high, the fact that there was no vomiting made her wonder if it was pancreatis or not. Anyway...having bloodwork done seems to help find the source of the problem though it can be expensive, it is worth it to get their little tummies feeling better
