You are so very kind. You seem to really pick up on things and read deeply between the lines. You were right, i have survived some things I was told I would definitely no survive, and so much more. Wow, I am amazed by your letter. I feel that thank you is not enough, but what else can I say. You are deeply appreciated and I look forward to the day that I can "tiel talk" with you. My heart aches for my Floyd tonight, but it is out of my hands. I pray that Floyd knows how much I love him and can have comfort from that. I pray he knows what a blessing he was to my son, Blake and I. I am with him and he is definitely with me in my heart. thanks again Logan. You are a wonderful person.

Logan IS a wonderful person isn't she! She made me feel SO welcome when I first joined PT, and I can see how she's making you feel so welcome too! She's a real treasure on PT, and I know we all cherish her! Such a kind and loving person.

I would *love* to see you bring a cockatiel home, and talk about tiels with you! They are so much fun to have in the house! Just today, my Popcorn has gotten a deep fondness for my brother's cell phone! Its SO funny. My brother's cell phone has all these funny music melodies as ring tones that Popcorn just adores. Just now, my brother was showing it to him, and Popcorn imitated it, PERFECTLY CLEAR, the whole melody, for the first time! He sounded EXACTLY like the phone! I'm in tears now, full of joy that my Popcorn learned this! He was so proud of himself.....I could tell by the look on his face, and I'm a proud birdie mommy too, because this is such a big achievement for my little boy! He's been trying to do this for so long now, and today, FINALLY he learned it. He's so happy, and I'm so happy too. I just love birds and their ability to imitate. Its just amazing.

Aww, Popcornbird, such lovely pictures and such a very nice letter. I love your feathered babies!!! Thank you so much for all you said. They do show their cute and funny personalities here son't they. I love it about the imitating the cell phone. I believe I have heard that cockatiels are especially good at that! Though I am birdless now physically, i am far from birdless in my heart, because Floyd has a home there forever! So, as far as I am concerned, I have enough memories of Floyd that was only in my home for three months, I will be able to talk about him for a long, long time. To be honest, before Floyd, I was not a bird person. I liked them, but had never bonded so deeply with one before. I had parakeets years ago, but, it just wan't like Floyd. Thank you so much for sharing and you have really sweet stories about them. In cockatiels, my favorite color of them has always been the light yellow, or yellow and white, but they are all pretty. Is the yellow one your Popcornbird? Seems like a very fitting name for the color. The other colors are very beautiful too. Take care Popcornbird, and thank you for making me feel so welcomed.

Yep, my yellow/white one is Popcorn. When we got him, my brother said his colors looked like buttery popcorn, so he insisted that we name him Popcorn. I wanted to call him Sunny, or Sunshine, but Popcorn won. I guess its better because Sunny and Sunshine a little too common bird names!

I'm sure you will miss your Floyd. He is such a handsome bird. Hopefully one day, you'll get a sweet birdie of your own!
