Bichons, Malteses, and Poodles. Or mixes between those. I know there are more, but I can't think of the breeds now!

Try doing some online research, like on google. Try to adopt before going to a petstore or breeder! Try places like www.petfinder.org.

There are other toy dogs that are good for allergies. Hmm I think poodles, maltese, I cant think of alot. But if you do some research Im sure you will find a good dog. Katie is in my signature below.

May I suggest spending time with the type of dog you pick before actually getting one. Most breeders will allow you to spend time with their dogs to test your allergies. No breed is hypoalergenic but some cause no problems with certain people. Allergies can also takes weeks to surface and by that time you are going to be attached to the dog already.

There are no non allergic dogs or hypo allergenic, that's just a sales pitch that BYBs use to sell their mutt puppies. Even poodles can shed or have excessive dander. I had a Poodle and he had skin allergies which caused him to itch and have excessive dander. So, it's going to depend on the individual dogs within any breed. Like IRescue said, go spend time with people who have the kind of breed you're looking for. Do research on each breed as far as temperament and grooming requirements are concerned because while Schnauzers and Poodles are cute, they're not for everyone. I don't doubt that you have allergies to dogs, but how did you find out that it's dogs you are allergic to? The reason I ask is because my brother and boyfriend who were both raised with dogs and cats with no problems have come to my house after not living there for a while and it aggrivates their allergies (runny nose, runny eyes, etc) for a little while until they are used to the environment again, then they are fine. Again, not doubting your condition, just curious cause.
