That's just it ... people just don't teach their kids respect? Most people get their ideals from their parents, as I did (fortunately for me, both my parents are kind and decent people) ... I can respect if a person does not have an affinity with animals - but don't pass it on to your kids. 
Is it just me, or is it that kids are way more obnoxious and rude than we were as kids?

) but I'm just saying how they don't listen to me when I say not to tease (she was young, I don't think she knew she was teasing...just playing) or pull on the chain. I take Mickey for a walk past the same area each time and this girl came outside one day and said, (in French) "I've seen you and your dog walking before. Can I pet him?" So I let her and then she asked me some questions and said her mom said Mickey was a miniature collie...it's funny. She talks about Mickey with her family. lol Another day she came by with a friend on her bike. lol. Oh well...
