Sadly, mine died of Liver Storage Disease,....again through bad breeding ! ! !

Couldn't help but vote for Yorkies!! I just love my little MollyMonster! Here she is just before her next puppy haircut:

We have her groomed because HATES to be brushed. The short haircut is easier on both of us.

She has been so much fun for me. I didn't even mind that puppy stage with her. She's the first dog I took all the puppy learning in stride.

For now, I'm going to have to vote for Airedale because it's the one I know the most about since my mom's got one purebred and a airedale mix too!

Hey, thanks for your kind words about my own Bedlington. I am so happy for you in the fact that your Bedlington lived for so long. They are the most amazing dogs.
Mine was named "Princess" - and she would save the underdog, if I raised my voice at my daughter,( like 'Do you want a smack?') the dog would be there protecting her against me.
When I was in bed at night, the dog had her basket beside me......and if my daughter came to the door, the dog would be on my chest saving me from anyone who was coming through that door.
My hubby bought me home from hospital after a major op. once ,and 'Princess' fought him while he was trying to put me to bed.......he had to shoo her out.
Oh!,(this is funny) ......in the middle of the night, when hubby had to use the en-suite, she would not let him out, he used to have to throw things at me to wake me up to save him ( I wear ear plugs as he snores, so don't hear anything).
Then I lost her,.....I loved her more than life itself, I loved her more than living,,,,,,,,, and had a break down after having her die in my arms - my daughter was there at that moment too.
I am glad you have the Airedales, as they are wonderful Terriers too. Regards, Mich

I never got a spanking as long as Honey, the Bedlington was around! She was the most remarkable swimmer, Esther Williams could have taken lessons!!

Well, Princess never got the chance to swim, though we would go to the coast, I couldn't think of the seaweed in her fluffy coat.

Yes, I loved her very much!!!

My favorite breed is the Miniature Schnauzer. Yes, they are barkers but they are also the most human like dog I have ever been around. Loving, entertaining, playful, curious and protective of their loved ones.
Someday I would like to own a Black Giant Schnauzer as they are not the barkers that Mini's are but are equally loving when they are gotten from good educated breeders. They are great watch dogs and have the most beautiful coat I have ever seen.

Dear dasha10....well it must be also said of the standard poodle, as they are not yappy dogs, in fact they are totally different to the smaller varieties. I have lots of the small ones. Mine is a Labradoodle.......but mix with a few Standard Poodle owners, and these dogs are amazing.

I of course voted for Yorkie terriers! But I do like Silkie and Skye Terriers but I'm pretty sure Yorkies are Silkies and Skyes crossbred. Also In the Wizard of Oz Dorthy's dog, Toto, was played by a Carin Terrier just thought I'd share.
Don't Delay Neuter or Spay!! Ringo Rocks!
