    Kelly,
Hang in there! Prayers on the way for good news, a diagnosis, no pain, and a comforting hand from above.
    Love,
    Johanna

P.S. I didn't want to put this part, but the herd made me....you will have a few funny stories to tell after the colonoscopy...so, make sure your honey takes notes!

OK...I called them again and had them put me on hold while they talked to my dr. He said that he's not ready to do a colonoscopy yet. And that he'll call me.

I'm starting to wonder why on earth he doesn't want to do one...what does he have in mind? More shots of morophine or demoral? What is he going to do?

Prayers...please. I need patience and to know what I should do.

    Thank you!

Thank you Chris...he still hasn't called me. My mom got a bit irate and called him about an hour ago and asked "What is she suposed to do??" (all MOM like) and he said that if I'm in that much pain to go to the ER or wait for his call.

It hard to believe in someone when they don't extend this common courtesy to me. Is that bad that I'm feeling this? He knows how much pain I'm in...I just don't understand this.

Yikes, Kelly! That's just rude, IMO...that he can't take 5 mins to call you and let you know what's going on. Obviously going to the ER every single time is going to get old fast, and you don't want to continue doing that anyway!
I would be so frustrated. Is there somewhere else you can go? Did you look for a GI specialist in the area?

I hope you get to feeling better soon. I just got out of the hospital after spending a week and tests/pain are not much fun. Have some faith in your doctor - you can always get a second opinion if you don't feel right about his diagnosis. Abdominal pain can be a million things - and no fun to suffer it out. Willl send prayers and positive thoughts your way.

Exactly...I feel like an idoit running to the ER for some pain meds and stomach meds more than twice. ESPECIALLY if I'm doing something about this...as well as my dr.

I keep wondering why my dr. thinks food will cure me. I would KNOW if he'd freaking call me!!!!!!

I am very frustrated and in pain. I'm still sitting here at work, awaiting his call. My mom is driving me insane because she keeps calling me...freaking out. This doesn't help!

Just got his call....I sure am being tested...

He is prescribing vicodin (spelling?) and putting me on a clear liquid diet. He is calling a GI to schedule my lovely colonoscope in the next week.

Glad I waited and didn't run to the ER. For some reason, I felt I should have waited, I'm glad I did. I need to have faith in my dr....something that my mom is driving me crazy about...she's going to call the BBB and check him out.

I'm so glad that you finally got the call! I was beginning to wonder if you were gonna have to sit there all night long!

I sure hope this new med works! Do let us know and rest easy!

    Hi Kelly

first I want to say that t&p's mom is right, you won't remember the colonoscopy at all. and you won't be in pain from it after, I had one and it was nothing. it does not take long either.

I will pray for you that they find out what is wrong and that everything is ok with you. I know it is very hard waiting and wondering, it really does make one worry. just take it a day at a time.

your dr sounds like a very unconsiderate jerk. have you thought about finding a new dr after this is over?

I don't think there is anything the BBB can do about the dr, you could call the , oh I can't think of what it is called, the A.M. A? american medical assoc? there has to be a way of finding out about dr's, which is always good to do anyway, I know there is a number to call to find out if they have any lawsuits against them, or complaints etc. I will check in to it for you and let you know if you like?

I hope you get to feeling better real soon!

Kelly, I'm sorry to hear about your discomfort. I hope they can find the exact problem quickly and set you on the road to recovery. Will be thinking of you next week - look after yourself. Even if your doctor is giving you the runaround, I know you have the cutest little nurses in town
